PhD Candidate
Department of Economics University of California, Davis I am currently a PhD Candidate in Economics at the University of California, Davis. After completing my undergraduate work in Mathematics and Economics at the University of Wisconsin, Madison, I immediately began my graduate studies in Davis. During my time at Davis, I have received awards for both my teaching and research. I have extensive experience as a teaching assistant and as an instructor for an upper division undergraduate course on energy economics in Spring 2018. My research focuses on energy and the environment and transportation economics and utilizes various econometric methods paired with both archival data and field experiments. I expect my PhD in December 2022. Economics, however, is not my life. I am currently running for Davis City Council in District 1. I am the associate executive director for Purple Tree Cafe, a nonprofit providing community based employment to people with disabilities and community to all. I am also an artist in many media. I also sit on the boards of Cool Davis and Bike Davis. I paint, primarily acrylic on canvas, and I sing and play piano. Art in various forms, mindfulness, exercise, therapy, and medication have helped me tremendously on my mental health journey. Everyone is fighting their own invisible battles, so be kind and love one another. #BlackLivesMatter |
